Audio File Format for Voice Broadcasting

To view the audio file format, right click on the audio file and select its properties.

Supported audio file format:


  1. File Type: Wave
  2. Audio Format: PCM
  3. Sample Rate: 16.000 KHz
  4. Audio Sample Size: 16 Bit
  5. Channels: 1 (mono)

If the format of the audio file does not correspond to the supported format, the following methods can be used to convert it to the supported format.

Convert Audio File Using Windows Sound Recorder

Windows Sound Recorder can be started by either clicking on Start Menu all programs All Programs all programs Accessories all programs Entertainment all programs Sound Recorder or typing "sndrec32" in the Start Menu Run text box

Method I: Change Properties


  1. On the File menu, click Open.
  2. In the Open dialog box, double-click the sound file that needs to be modified.
  3. On the File menu, click Properties.

  4. Under Format Conversion, click Convert Now.
  5. Select PCM as file format.

  6. Select 16.000 KHz, 16 Bit, Mono as attributes.

  7. After specifying the format & attributes correctly, click OK.
  8. Click Ok on properties windows.
  9. On the File menu, click Save.

Method II: Change Format

  1. Start Sound Recorder.
  2. On the File menu, click Open.
  3. In the Open dialog box, double-click the sound that needs to be modified.
  4. On the File menu, click Save As.
  5. In the Save As dialog box, click Change.

  6. Select PCM as file format.

  8. After specifying the format & attributes correctly, click OK.
  9. Click “Save” to save the file in desired format.
