• Where can I download Phipe?
  You can download the free, unrestricted version of Phipe here and the Enterprise Phipe version here. Please feel free to contact our support team should you require assistance with the installation.
• How much does Phipe cost?
  You can receive all that Enterprise Phipe has to offer for only $25/month per license. There is no set up fee. This is what makes Phipe unique from other costly Dialer programs. Phipe, with limited features, is available for free and can be downloaded as mentioned above.
• Which version of skype is required to run Phipe?
  To use Free Phipe and Enterprise Phipe without Inbound campaigns, you must have at least Skype version 2.6 and above. To use Inbound campaigns, the minimum version required is 3.6. Skype can be downloaded for free from www.skype.com.
• How can I upgrade from free Phipe to Enterprise Phipe?
  There is link available on the Phipe home page offering an upgrade to Enterprise Phipe. All you need to do is click on that link, update your current contact information and someone from our support team will contact you within 24 hours. Once your payment has been processed you will receive your activation code to complete the upgrade.
• What are the minimum rights that a windows user must have to run Phipe?
  A limited user account with internet access is the minimum requirement to run Phipe on your computer.
• I get an error that says "Phipe has encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell PhiStream about this problem.". When I click "Don't Send", Phipe is shutdown. What do I do now?
  Some problem, either in the configuration or during installation, caused Phipe to crash. Clicking on "Send Error" will send some technical information to us that will help us resolve this problem. We would appreciate it greatly if you can send an email to our support desk stating briefly how the error occurred, with screenshots if possible. That would make solving the issue easier.
• Does Phipe support foreign characters?
  Phipe can read and display foreign characters included in your campaign CSV. For this, you need to save the file in UTF-8/Unicode format in the following manner:
  
  
  1. Right Click on CSV file and open with notepad.
  2. Goto file menu "Save As" option.
  3. Change Encoding type to UTF-8/Unicode and save the file.

Installation

• What is the minimum system requirement for installing Phipe?
  The minimum system requirements are

• Is it necessary to install .Net Framework for Phipe to work? If so, which version is required?
  You must have at least .Net Framework version 2.0 installed in order to run Phipe on your system.
• How do I find out if .NET Framework is installed on my computer?
  Go to the Start Menu and select All Programs. If .NET Framework Runtime 2.0 or .NET Framework SDK 2.0 is listed, it is installed. Alternatively, you can go to the Control Panel and look under Add/Remove Programs. If .NET Framework Runtime 2.0 or .NET Framework SDK 2.0 is listed, it is installed.
• I just tried to install a new version of Phipe on my PC. Prior to this I was using another version of Phipe. But as I try to run Phipe, it gives an error message "This version has been patched with critical fixes. Please contact Phipe Technical Support to get the latest enterprise version". What should i do?
  To successfully run the new version of Phipe:
  
  
  1. Unistall the previous version of Phipe.
  2. Delete the folder named Phipe in your documents and settings folder (usually C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name> on Windows XP and C:\Users\<your user name> on Vista) prior to installing the new version.

Compliance

• Is Phipe DMA Compliant?
  DMA Code of Practice lists the dialer's features to make the telemarketing activity compliant. The main requirements are related to:
  
  
  1. DNC lists: Phipe offers DNC addition of called numbers
  2. Abandoned Calls calling: You can configure your dispositions to set redial time for more than 72 hours (compliance requirement) for Abandoned calls / Unanswered calls. This can be done from the administrator's interface.
  3. CLI (Caller Line Identification): If you have Skype In numbers purchased and configured in your Skype logins then usually Skype would send the CLI. However, Skype sometimes fails to send out the proper CLI to called telephone.
• Is it legal to record my sales calls?
  Phipe merely provides the functionality to record. It is up to the end user/organization to build-in warning/notification systems for the benefit of the callee. Once that is put in place, recording becomes legal.
